Ice Plants | Linoprint

A familiar bit of the California coast becomes bold pattern in Joan Pranata Bogart’s hand-carved ice plant linocut. The overlapping botanical forms have a graphic rhythm that nods to the intricate motifs of Indonesian batik while still feeling very Santa Cruz.

Each print is hand-pressed, signed, and numbered on Stonehenge printmaking paper using Speedball water-based ink.
