Shun Sora - 6 1/2" Master Utility Knife
Shun Sora - 6 1/2" Master Utility Knife
Description
The ultra-versatile Shun Sora Master Utility combines the nimbleness of a utility knife with the do-it-all capabilities of a chef's knife. The blade is slightly longer and significantly wider, allowing you to easily accomplish a wide range of food preparation tasks while enjoying the agility of a compact knife. Extra width at the heel and a slightly curved belly enable rocking cuts for mincing herbs and spices, while the downturned tip—similar to a kiritsuke—adds durability and precision. Slice, dice, shred or portion with ease using this beautiful and highly functional kitchen knife. With Shun Sora, you get handcrafted Japanese quality at an exceptional value.
Proprietary Composite Blade Technology places high-performance VG10 steel on the cutting edge and highly corrosion-resistant Japanese 420J stainless steel on the blade upper. The san mai construction protects and supports the VG10 cutting core, delivering a razor-sharp 16° edge on each side for quick, precise cutting. The traditional handle design features a textured PP/TPE polymer blend for a secure grip, balance, and easy maintenance, while the full tang extends to the embossed handle medallion for added strength.
